【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoversathermoplasticinsulationofpoly(vinylchloride)orthecopolymerofvinylchlorideandvinylacetate.Thisinsulationisrecommendedforuseatconductortemperaturesnotinexcessof60Cinwetordrylocationsatamaximumvoltageratingof600Vforpowerandcontrolcircuits.Whenevertwosetsofvaluesarepresented,indifferentunits,thevaluesinthefirstsetarestandard,whilethoseinparenthesesareforinformationonly.Inmanyinstancestheinsulationmaterialcannotbetestedunlessithasbeenformedaroundaconductororcable.Therefore,testsaredoneoninsulatedwireorcableinthisspecificationsolelytodeterminetherelevantpropertyoftheinsulationmaterialandnottotesttheconductororcompletedcable.
