【摘要】:Thisspecificationestablishesrequirementsforthematerialproperties,includingdimensionalstability,weatherability,andextrusionquality,ofrigidpoly(vinylchloride)(PVC)exteriorprofileextrusionsusedforassembledwindowsanddoors.Methodsfortestingandforidentifyingexteriorprofileextrusionsthatcomplywiththisspecificationarealsoprovided.RigidPVCrecycledplasticmaybeusedinthisproductinaccordancewithrequirementsinSection5.Note1-Informationwithregardtoapplication,assembly,andinstallationshouldbeobtainedfromthemanufacturersoftheprofilesandofthewindowsanddoors.Note2-RefertoSpecificationD3678forinteriorprofileextrusions.Color-holdguidelinesareprovidedinanappendixforthemanufacturer'sproductdevelopmentandqualityperformanceuse.Color-holdguidelinesarepresentlylimitedtowhite,grey,beige,lightbrown,anddarkbrown(seeFigs.X1.1throughX1.5).Additionalcolorswillbeaddedascolorguidelinesaredeveloped.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareforinformationonly.Note3-TherearenoISOstandardscoveringtheprimarysubjectmatterofthisspecification.Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthisstandard.Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section10,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
